Created by a pastry chef and a farmer, River Daze Cafe is committed to producing quality, hand-crafted food using natural and organic ingredients. Most of our items are prepared “in house” including all of our sandwich breads, English muffins, pastries and even our mayonnaise. There are no hydrogenated oils or additives in anything we make, and nothing comes from a mix. We feel lucky to also be farmers in the Columbia River Gorge, and during the growing season, many of our vegetables come from our own farm and other local farms. What we cannot source locally, we strive to buy organic. We are committed to omitting all genetically-modified ingredients: we use only safflower and olive oils, cane sugar (or local honey) and organic cornmeal. Our deli meats are all high quality and produced without the use of hormones and additives. Our drink selection has also been carefully chosen to support small, local companies that omit high-fructose corn syrup.
